William "Bill" J. Rienow

William “Bill” J. Rienow, 76 of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away peacefully with family at his side on November 10, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1948, to William and Carol Rienow in Green Bay. He was a graduate of East High School (1966). Bill married “his angel”, Mary, on July 31, 1994. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 40 years and retired in 2008. Bill and Mary owned/operated MaryBill’s Bar in Maribel from 2004-2013. Bill was known as the best maintenance man ever. Bill was known for his strong work ethic, love of nature, and creativity. One of Bill’s greatest accomplishments was building a log cabin the “old school way” with a chainsaw, chisel, and his bare hands. He took tremendous pride in his lawn and flower gardens at the cabin. He was known to have the most manicured lawn north of 64. Mary claims they had stock in grass seed at Mountain Hardware. After a hard day’s work, Bill and Mary loved to take rides with no destination in mind. Bill loved his family and will be deeply missed by his wife Mary, children and grandchildren: Aimee and Ken Kapla (Mitch and McKenna), Heath and Lisa Rienow (Jack and Caleb), stepchildren and grandchildren: Craig and Amber Reid (Logan, Elliott, and Alec), Alexis and Jeff Jones (Steffanie and Corinn), brother: Steve Rienow, sisters: Louanne Schley and Mary Duca, mother-in-law: Jerri Bertrand, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jim and Vicki Bertrand, brother-in-law: David Bertrand, aunt: Bonnie and Roger Rahlf, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother (William and Carol Rienow, siblings: Allen, Clayton, Carl, Annette, Greg, and Dennis, sister-in-law: Marcia Rienow, brother-in-law: Rick Duca, nephews: Rick Latour and Shawn Schley, father-in-law: Darryl Bertrand Sr., brother-in-law: Douglas Bertrand. A special thank you to all of Bill’s medical team: Bellin Hospital, Bellin Clinic of Denmark, Bellin Cancer Center, Froedtert Medical, Palliative Care Team, Unity Hospice, and all of the nurses and CNAs. Your compassion for Bill will not be forgotten. According to Bill’s wishes, a private family service was held.
