Ronald Hinkhouse

Ronald J. Hinkhouse, 79, Green Bay passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. Ron as born on January 26, 1929 in Pierson, IA the son of the late W.B. and Nellie (Williams) Hinkhouse. He served his country in the U.S.A.F. as a Master Sergeant during the Korean Conflict receiving three bronze stars. He continued his active involvement in the U.S.A.F. Reserve for over 33 years until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1989. On October 9, 1954 he married the former Joyce Paal at Grace Lutheran Church. Ron was an active member and loyal supporter of the V.F.W. serving in numerous positions and capacities. He was also very involved in many community events, civic organizations and at Grace Lutheran Church throughout his life. Ron greatly enjoyed his Sunday afternoons during the Packer season. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, his three wonderful children and their spouses Paul and Beckie Hinkhouse, Mary and David Hintz, Lisa and Dale Herman, 6 grandchildren Jeremy, Sarah Hinkhouse, Aaron, Noah and Seth Hintz, Grace Herman, 4 great-grandchildren, his sister Jeanne Denis, two brothers Robert Hinkhouse, Roger Hinkhouse, a sister-in-law Marvel Hinkhouse. He is further survived by two brothers-n-law and one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother Dwayne “Jim” Hinkhouse, a sister-in-law Bette Hinkhouse and a brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Denis. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church~ ELCA 321 S. Madison Street. Funeral Service 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Larry Lange officiating. Full Military Honor Funeral Rites will immediately follow the service. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association ~or~ to The American Heart Association. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staffs of Unity Hospice and Bellin Memorial Hospital for all of their care and compassion shown to Ron and his family. Also, a thank-you to Parkview Manor Nursing Home, especially Iyke for their concern and dignity.
