Mrs Priscilla "Percy" DeJardin

Priscilla (Percy) DeJardin, passed away on 8/24/2024 surrounded by her three children by her side. She was born on August 15, 1939, in Forestville to the late Victor J. and Rosa M “Rose” (Delfosse) Ducane. Percy married her soul mate Ronald “Ron” DeJardin on September 16, 1958, at St. Hubert Church in Rosiere. They celebrated 63 years together and everyone always said, “you couldn’t see one without seeing the other”. After Ron passed, she missed him every moment and is certainly happy now that she is back holding his hand in heaven. Percy loved to garden and enjoyed growing flowers and spent countless hours tending to her flowers. Percy was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing while living on Royal Scot Golf Course. She played countless rounds of golf with Ron and her special sister-in-law Barb as well as others. She also enjoyed fishing and lunch on the boat that consisted of cinnamon rolls in the bag and ring of bologna from Marchants. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, no one ever left the house hungry or thirsty after visiting. Percy and Ron were always on the move and had lived in numerous residences over the years. The friendships that they cultivated over the years by living in various places made them special to many people. Percy and Ron were always great neighbors, and their door was always open for a great cup of coffee. Percy ’s brother and sisters were quite a bit older than she was and her nieces and nephews were more like her friends growing up. Percy was born in a small log house that her Pa and Ma built and still stands to this day. Percy loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed company. No matter how long we stayed she would always say “why are you leaving so soon,” it didn’t matter if they were there 2 hours or 6. When her mobility was better, she always walked them to the door and watched everyone as they drove away. Percy recently celebrated her 85th birthday and somberly attended her special brother-in law Larry’s funeral on August 15. The beautiful portion of attendance was she was able to see many of her nieces/nephews/sisters-in-law/friends and extended family for one last time. It was a goodbye even though it wasn’t realized at the time. Percy worked as an Executive Housekeeper at the Beaumont Ramada Inn and later at the Ramada Inn West. She met many stars over the years including Reba, Marie Osmond, and many others and in fact Mickey Gilley sang Happy Birthday to her. In her time working at the hotels, she was a dedicated employee and nurturing to her co-workers and guests. Her career at the Beaumont started in 1964 and she worked in the hotels for over 35 plus years. Survivors include her three children, two sons Craig (Barbara) DeJardin, Todd (Dori Goddard) DeJardin and daughter Deb Hammond all of Green Bay. Grandchildren Adam (Stephanie) DeJardin, Amanda (Todd) Stowell, Joe DeJardin, Sam DeJardin, Lillie DeJardin, Sara (Chris) King, Michelle (Clinton) Hansford, Lindsay (Michael) Berceau, Tim (Kasey) Berceau, Breanna (Jacob Martin) DeJardin and fourteen great grandchildren and two in the works great grandchildren. Percy was proceeded in death by her husband Ron on October 12, 2021, her brother Ralph (Stella) Duquaine, sister Gladys (Quiren Renice), sister Jane (Earl) Renice, brother-in law Larry DeJardin, Melvin (Pearl) DeJardin, Ken DeJardin, Joe DeJardin, Don DeJardin, surviving sister in-laws Barb DeJardin, Judy DeJardin and Clara DeJardin. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 3425 Willow Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 P.M.at Prince of Peace Catholic Community. Burial at St. Huberts Cemetery, Rosiere.
