Mary Jane Giese

Mary Jane Giese, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 with her family by her side. Mary Jane was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on May 29th, 1935 to Elizabeth and Lloyd Maloney. After she graduated from Saint Joseph Academy, she married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Giese on February 27th, 1954. and the couple enjoyed over 62 years together. Richard preceded her in death on February 10, 2016. She is survived by her children; Susan (Wayne) Kaczrowski, Sandra Motkowski, Michael Giese, Barbara Giese and David (Stacey) Giese. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 1 daughter-in-law: Gena Giese. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband, Richard, and her devoted son Thomas. Mary Jane was a devoted Catholic who instilled the love of God in her children. She was kept busy with the Alter Society/Prayer Group at Saint Phillips Church, as a member of the East River Homemaker's Group, and by collecting and donating stuffed animals to the Brown County Sheriff's Department. She also enjoyed rummage sales with her grandchildren, swimming with her group at the CP pool, and bowling. She loved feeding birds, especially her Hummers, watching the eagles and listening to the loons. She was an avid fisherwoman on trips to Canada in the early years, and later on at their cabin at Bond Falls, Michigan. Time spent with Richard, her children, and grandchildren at their cabin was the highlight of her family's life. She spent many hours with the family fishing, berry picking, going to beach picnics, enjoying bonfires, and getting ice cream at the store above the falls. The family would like to thank the staff at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home and Bristol Hospice, who provided her with such wonderful care and showed her many kindnesses. The family takes comfort in knowing that Mary Jane is now resting peacefully with God the Father in heaven. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M with Father Adam Bradley officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum with her husband Richard.
