Mary Ann Rose Nowak

Mary Ann Rose Nowak, 73, Green Bay passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. MaryAnn was born on June 4, 1949 in Green Bay, the daughter of the now late Wencil and Mary (Keyzer) Krines. Mary Ann attended St. Bernard’s Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph the Academy with the class of 1967. Mary Ann followed her dream of becoming a beautician and received her cosmetology degree from Wisconsin College of Cosmetology and worked for over 50 years until her retirement. On February 15, 1969, she married Richard “Rick” Nowak at St. Bernard Catholic Church and the couple enjoyed over 44 years together. Rick preceded her in death on February 24, 2013. She and Rick dairy farmed in Door County and Maribel for 13 years until they decided to move back to Green Bay. Mary Ann loved playing cards, going to craft fairs and her Christmas Village Set. She was a devoted Mother and never missed attending her kids events and in her later years she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mary Ann is survived by her children: Jenny and Gary Gracyalny, and their children- Kayla (special friend, John), Taylor (special friend, Jacob), Brock, Lucas, Pulaski; Josh and Tammy Nowak, and their children Derek (Marissa), Darcy and Dalton Drost, Rice Lake, Marty and Heidi Nowak and their children Lexy and Danica, Green Bay, two brothers and three sisters-in-law and two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Dick (Marvie) Krines, Ruth (Curt) Schuettpelz, Marcia (Bert) Scherer, Jerome (Sandy) Krines, Donna Krines, one sister-in-law: Delores Verheyen, one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Ron (Sherry) Nowak, Judy Nowak, Karen Nowak, She is further survived by nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother: James Krines, three brothers-in-law: Daniel Nowak, Tony Nowak and Clayton Verheyen. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, scholarships funds will be established for members of the Denmark and Pulaski FFA. The family would like to offer a special thank you the ICU and Cardiac Department of Bellin Memorial Hospital for all of their loving care and compassion. Also, a warm note of appreciation to Unity Hospice and Sister Helen Keyzer and Country Villa Assisted Living for all of their loving care and concern~ your kindness will never be forgotten.
