Mrs. Laura Lee Tegtman

Laura Lee Tegtman, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Laura Lee was born at home on August 23, 1938, in Cooks, MI the daughter of the now late Lyle and Erma (Wolfe) Mc Manus. She was a graduate of Cooks High School with the class of 1956. On September 13, 1958, she married David Tegtman, Sr. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Laura Lee held several jobs throughout the years and had accepted a positon at the former Fort Howard Paper Mill where she worked as a Machine Tender until her retirement in 1993. She belonged to the St. Francis de Sales Church in Manistique Mi, the local Moose Lodge, and volunteered her time and baked goods for the Hiawatha Forest Tri-county Volunteer Fire Department. Laura Lee loved to volunteer, talk on the phone, write, and receive letters, avid daily walker and visit friends and family. Laura is survived by her children: Debbie (George) Wilson, Carol Stream, Il; Dennis (Tracey) Tegtman, De Pere, Dave (Vicki) Tegtman, Green Bay, five grandchildren: Gabrielle Wilson (Michael Meade) Garret (Erin) Wilson, Erica (Joe) Stehsel, Janelle (Josh) Martell, Kristen (Shane) McClure, and nine great-grandchildren. One brother and sister-in-law: Leland (Gloria) Mc Manus, one sister and two brothers-in-law: Loris (Tim) Roddy, Jim Johnson, three sisters-in-law: June Azzolin, Delores Porter, Linda Larsen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother: Larry Mc Manus, two sisters: Lorraine Mc Manus, Lyette Johnson, three brothers-in-law: Al Azzolin, John Porter, Bob Larsen, one sister-in-law: Carol Tegtman. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Holy Cross Parish, 3009 Bay Settlement Road. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 A, M. with Rev. Gary Neville O. Praem, officiating. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staffs of Unity Hospice for all their loving care and compassion shown to Laura Lee~ your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Laura Lee’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
