Julia Sumnicht

Julia Marie Sumnicht, 21, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 15, 2010. Julia was born on August 13, 1988 in Appleton. She was the daughter of Dan and Marie (McKenzie) Sumnicht. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School with the class of 2007. Julia was attending the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse where she was currently enrolled to pursue her degree in Communications with an emphasis in Sports Broadcasting. Julia had been employed at Hooters both in Green Bay and LaCrosse. She was beautiful inside and out from the day she was born. Julia had many gifts including music, dancing, art and more. Although there were many challenges in her life, she knew that her family and God loved her. Julia was extremely loyal. She was loyal to her family, friends, animals, the environment and anything that was important to her. She would want people to know that she was even loyal to Brett Favre. Julia’s loyalty to him was based on the fact the she saw how passionately he loved the game of football. She identified with this passion since she had a passion for everything she did. Julia loved to find the humor in life. We will miss how she made us laugh. Julia is survived by her parents, Dan and Marie Sumnicht, who love her deeply. She also has 3 siblings and had very special and unique relationships with each of them~ Stephan, Johanna “JoJo” and Andrew. Her maternal grandparents John and Wendy (Rising) McKenzie were very important people in Julia’s life. She loved them dearly. Finally, her special companion and friend, Ceci or “babies” (her dog), will miss her greatly. She is further survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many dear and close friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Victor and Hazel (Blink) Sumnicht. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane followed by a funeral service at 4:00 P.M. with Julia’s Uncle Rev. Bruce McKenzie officiating. In Lieu of Flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Julia’s name.
