Juanita M. Marweg

Juanita Mae Marweg, 92, De Pere, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 27, 2026. Juanita was born on March 9, 1933 in Racine, WI the daughter of the now late Herbert and Emma (Wilde) Maurer. She was the first graduating class of Racine Lutheran High School in 1951. On June 25, 1955, Juanita married Ron Marweg whom she met in 8th grade at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Racine and the couple enjoyed over 62 years together. Ron preceded her in death on March 15, 2017. Juanita has many interests but she especially loved golfing and was an avid Packers Fan. She loved cooking and baking and was known for her famous candy that she would make during the holidays and this past season she enlisted the help of her family to teach the secret art. Juanita was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church serving on the Altar Guild and at the Welcome Center and sang in the Choir and played in the Bell Choir for many years. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, a friend to many and will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Juanita is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Monica and Phillip Beard, one son and daughter-in-law: Gregg and Julie Marweg, 3 grandchildren: Chelsea (Joel) Mortenson, Bill (Taylor) Beard and Thomas Beard, 2 great-grandchildren: Telana and Corrin Mortenson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Larry Maurer. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church 2335 S. Webster Avenue. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Joshua Errer officiating. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established in Juanita’s name for the Music Department of Faith Lutheran Church. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to Heartland Hospice for all of their gentle and compassionate attention shown to Juanita. Also, a special thank you to her grandson and his wife: Bill and Taylor for bringing grandma in to their home and to her granddaughter Chelsea for all of her loving care and compassion~ all 3 of you were Angels on Earth for Grandma during this time!
