Dale Bauer

Dale J. Bauer, 70, Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dale was born on July 11, 1938 in Schofield the son of the late Frank and Pauline (Steinbach) Bauer. At the age of 2, the family moved to Ringle and they stayed there until he moved to the Town of Maine in 1952. Dale was a graduate of Wausau Sr. High School with the class of 1957. He later earned his certificate to operate Heavy Equipment in California. On July 18, 1964 he married the former Sharon Schultz at Faith Lutheran Church in Merrill. Dale used his many abilities to work a host of jobs including driving for Red Owl and Advance Transportation. He had many hobbies and activities to keep him busy but he particularly liked driving his John Deere Lawn Mower and building things as well as fixing things. Dale liked to travel and held very fond memories of the places he visited. He loved spending time with his family and cherished the many family get-togethers. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon, his children Todd (Billianty) Bauer, Memphis, TN; Paula (Roland) La Plante, Green Bay; Rebecca (Rick) Dole, Green Bay; Tamara Bauer and her special friend, Doug Mongin, three grandchildren Holly and Adam La Plante, Kaitlynn Francois, one brother and two sisters-in-law Robert (Beverly) Bauer, Merrill; Barbara Bauer, New Baltimore, MI a sister and brother-in-law Joyce (Walter) Wiederhoeft, Wausau. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Lucille Schultz, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law Richard (LeIla) Schultz, Sharon Schultz, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two bothers and one sister-in-law Ormand (Almina) Bauer, George Bauer, three sisters and one brother-in-law Lillian Bauer, Erna Schult and Beverly (Conrad) Beranek, his father-in-law Oscar Schultz, one brother-in-law Harold Schultz. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. (noon) at Faith Lutheran Church 2335 S. Webster Avenue. A Funeral Service will be held at 12: P.M. (noon) at the church with Rev. Peter Speckhard officiating. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to The Unity Hospice Team, his physical therapist Kyle Stevenson, Dr. Santillan and Dr.McHenry Also a special thank-you to his neighbors, his children and their spouses and his loving grandchildren. Many thanks as well to Faith Lutheran Church for all of their support and giving Dale a second home to worship in. Dale: I want you to know that I will always love you. You have been my best friend for 44 years. Together we have loved, laughed, cried, sacrificed and endured. I would not change a thing. Love you, Sharon
