Wayne S. Everard
April 9, 1967 - October 11, 2011
Wayne Scott Everard, 44, of Howard Suamico, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home while holding the hand of his angel and wife, Lisa, on Tuesday, October 11, after a courageous 2 year journey with cancer. Wayne was born April 9, 1967 to Gerald and Germaine Everard of Oneida, WI. He was a 1985 graduate of West DePere HS and earned an Associates Degree from NWTC in 1987. He married the love of his life, Lisa, on July 6, 1991, at St. Joseph’s Church in Oneida. He was employed for the past 21 years at Georgia Pacific (formerly Fort Howard) and his most recent position was a Maintenance Superintendent/Gatekeeper. His faith was very evident in all he did. He was a partner of St. Mark Lutheran Church and held positions on the elementary school board and church governing board but considered himself a disciple of Jesus Christ and witnessed his faith whenever he encountered a God appointment. Wayne was a wonderful father. He loved his children, Matthew and Emilie, dearly. They were the sparkle in his eye. He cherished watching his children grow and was involved in their lives, training them up and leading by example. Wayne loved the outdoors, especially fall. He loved the changing colors and the sound of leaves crunch under his feet. He enjoyed hunting, bon fires and lively conversation. His favorite past time was spending time with family and friends, reading his Bible, taking bike rides and the smell of rain. Wayne is survived by his wife, Lisa (“Toots”); his children, Matthew Wayne (“Duderard”) and Emilie Darlene (“Princess Duderard”); his parents, Gerald and Germaine Everard; his sisters, Sharon Wriedt; Shirley (Dan) Due; Cynthia (Mark) Widen; Karen (John) Fournier; Suellen (Tom) Fournier; Lynette Everard; Michelle (Mike) Hrubesky; Gay (Dan) Duclon; Kay (Jeff) Koeppel; his brothers, Gerald Jr. (Michelle) Everard; George (Candi) Everard. He is also survived by his Godchildren, Trent Ness; Sawyer LaPlant and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne was preceded in death by Grandparents, Theodore and Virginia Everard; Bernard and Louise Moes/Blanche Bitters; his Godfather, Donny Gagnon; his Uncle Ronnie Elbe; his Mother-in-law Darlene Gross; his great-nephew Gabe Kriescher countless other loved ones. Visitation and viewing will begin on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Hillside Room located at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2066 Lawrence Dr., DePere. Visitation will continue on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary with his Victory Celebration/Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 pm with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Wayne’s name. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Patrick Mansky, Dr. Amy James, Marie, RN, Julie (Jules) RN, Jeannie, RN, Georgette, RN, Patti, NP and all of the Bellin Cancer TEAM; the entire Unity Hospice staff; friends and family who have prayed, visited with Wayne and have given of their time and generous acts of kindness. Their love and sincere compassion to help Wayne home was truly remarkable. Lastly, a sincere thanks to the most beautiful family who has been truly nothing short of a miracle to help us through this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts—Bill, Margaret, Andrew & Karen, Melissa, James and Heather Limmer.
