Mr. Thomas "Tom" J. Curren

Thomas J. Curren, 86, Green Bay, passed away on, Friday, November 26, 2021. Thomas was born on July 16, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the now late Thomas and Idamay (Legg) Curren. He was a faithful little altar boy at St. Patrick’s Church. Tom graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953 and St. Norbert College in 1957. After the R.O.T.C. program in high school and college, Tom joined the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant where he served active duty until 1958, and then continued to serve in the Reserves until his honorable discharge as a Captain in 1966. On August 23, 1958 he married the former Margaret Vander Bloomen. Tom was the Company Comptroller at Wisconsin Michigan Coaches and later worked for Green Bay Metro Transit until his retirement. Thomas is survived by his wife Margaret and their four children; Kathryn Curren, Michael Curren, Patrick Curren and his girlfriend Jamie, John Curren and his girlfriend Brenda. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. at the church with Rev. Andrew Cribben O.Praem officiating and Rev. John MacCarthy O.Praem concelebrating. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
