Mr. Steven "Steve" S. Nooyen

Steven “Steve” S. Nooyen, 68, Green Bay passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence on the Campus of Unity Hospice. Steve was born on July 12, 1952, in Green Bay, the son of the now late Clarence “Sam” and Lola (VanBeek) Nooyen. He graduated from Ashwaubenon High School with the class of 1970. Steve married Michele Fredericka Magray in 1974 for 10 years and had one son Jeffrey John together. He was employed in Carpentry his entire career primarily in the residential field but did light commercial work as well. Steve finished his career at Stock Lumber as a Door Finisher. He had too many interests to mention but among some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and in his younger years loved riding motorcycles. Steve is survived by his son, who was truly his pride and joy: Jeff Nooyen, two grandchildren: Mitchell Jeffrey and his special friend: Karyssa Techmeier and Maggie Michelle Nooyen; his significant other: Eleanor Powless, one sister and brother-in-law: Cheryl (Harry) Baenen, two brothers and one sister-in-law: Dave (Mary) Nooyen, Kevin Nooyen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a short service to follow in the chapel at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum, 2770 Bay Settlement Road. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staff of Unity Hospice for all of the loving care and concern.
