Steve R. Bishop
May 28, 1956 - April 6, 2022
Steven Robert Bishop left us on April 6th to begin a new journey after a 9-month bout with lung cancer. Steve was born in Green Bay in 1956 and attended West High School. As a kid, he loved to play hockey and had a thriving nightcrawler business. He was a master machinist by trade who excelled at everything he did. The strong, silent type with his contagious smile, he loved tending his massive vegetable garden and several fruit orchards that he planted. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, playing cards, spending time at the cabin up north, playing with our dogs and bird, and watching Westerns. Most of all he loved his family and was devoted to all of us. Steve is survived by LaVonne Bray, his loving wife and partner of 35 years; daughter Jessica (Jason) Brunhoefer of Green Bay; stepsons Cary LeFevre (Drea Isham) of Seattle; and Jed Shrovnal of Green Bay; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 9 siblings and 6 siblings-in-law and their spouses; many nieces and nephews and cousins; and his aunts and uncle, Jeanette Bishop and Bev and Denny Raiche. Steve’s parents were Mary Ellen and Chuck Bishop, Sr. who preceded him along with a brother and many aunts and uncles. In accordance with Steve’s wishes no funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Flintville, WI. If you would like to remember Steve in some way, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society. Thank you to Kayla Guns, and Drs Jaslowski and Groteluschen at St. Mary’s Oncology and Jenn, Erin, Jamie, Corey, Becky, Nadine, Randi, Brooks and so many more at Heartland Hospice for your attentive care!
