Roselyn (Toddy) M. (Diny) Daanen, 90, from De Pere, passed away at home with her daughters by her side, on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Born on August 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Antoinette Diny in Greenleaf. She survived polio at age 9 (missing the need for an iron lung.) She worked at Standard Oil, and married her sweetheart, the late Gerald (Jerry) J. Daanen, November 26, 1953, then became the phenomenal mother to Mary “Joy” St. Pierre, Linda M. Linzmeier and Suzanne M. Daanen, all from De Pere. She was a member of St. Mary Church, and enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and trips up north to friends/family cottages. She was great cook and looked forward to visiting with neighbors on Vande Hei’s driveway for wine. Roselyn is survived by her daughters, one son-in-law: Paul Linzmeier, granddaughter : Andrea Watkins (Who will have Toddy’s 1st great-grandson with James Phimmachack in July) 1 brother, 1 sister, 5 sisters-in-law & 2 brothers-in-law: Jerry (Carol) Diny, Mary (Jack) Dresdow, Germaine Diny, Patricia Diny, Lou Daanen, Jean Baugnet, Carol (John) Vermeulen and friend Lois Hoelzel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, their parents, 4 brothers, John, Leo, Larry, Nick, 2 sisters-in-law: Margaret Diny and Doris Diny, 2 brothers-in-law: Donald Baugnet and Ken Daanen, a future son-in-law: Chuck St. Pierre, her 2 best friends: Helen (Mel) Evrard and Marilyn (Ken) Aebischer. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Rite Place, 1580 Bellevue Street. A Celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 P.M. with Deacon Kevin DeCleene officiating with reception to follow. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, De Pere In Lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank everyone at Prevea, St. Vincents and Unity Hospice for all of their kindness and care shown to our Mom.
