Mr. Paul J. Bader

April 16, 1950 - February 10, 2018

Paul J. Bader, 67, Green Bay passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at a local hospital due to complications from pneumonia. Paul was born on April 16, 1950 in Algoma, the son of the now late Francis and Ruth (Kostichka) Bader. He was a graduate of Luxemburg/Casco High School with the class of 1968. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War in the 25th Infantry Division with Company A until his honorable discharge in 1972. On March 9, 1973 he married the former Jean Mueller and together they had one daughter Rhonda. Paul was employed for over 40 years as a Machine Operator at James River Paper Mill until his retirement. He was a proud member of the V.F.W Post #15051, the American Legion Post 11 Sullivan-Wallen, and the Vietnam Veterans of America as well as supporting the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Paul also belonged to the Moose Lodge #801 for several years. He loved spending time at his cottage “up-north” in Crivitz and greatly enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada. Paul is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Rhonda (Michael) Rusch, De Pere, 2 grandchildren Walker and Samantha, 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law Mark (Nancy) Bader, John (Debbie) Bader, 3 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law Jane (Ron) LeRoy, Mary Lou (Leonard) Treml, Carol (Harold) Treml. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum 2770 Bay Settlement Road. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 P.M. Entombment at the Mausoleum. The family would like to offer a special note of appreciation to the staffs of Aurora BayCare 3rd floor ICU and St. Vincent Regional Dialysis Center staff for all of the loving care, support and friendship shown to Paul.
