Nancy Suda Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy A. Suda, 72, De Pere passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, June 13, 2010 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Nancy was born on September 8, 1937 in De Pere the daughter of the now late Oley and Yackey Schmelter. On June 20, 1964 she married Lawrence “Larry” R. Suda and the couple almost celebrated 46 wonderful years together. Nancy loved to play cards with the family, make holiday meals, take the grandkids to the school bus and overall just loved being a mom. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Nancy is survived by her husband Larry, her three children Larry Suda and significant other, Stacey Jolin, De Pere, the twins Mary Suda and significant other Kevin Fischer, Green Bay; Jerry (Jenni) Suda, Green Bay; 6 grandchildren Craig (Amy) Suda, Eau Claire; Payton Suda, and Jordyn, Taylor, Ashley, and Cody of Green Bay; 3 great-grandchildren Danica and Brady Suda, Eau Claire; and Allie of Green Bay; 1 sister Elaine Cayo of De Pere; 1 brother and sister-in-law Ivan and Jean Schmelter, Luxemburg. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Allen Schmelter, a sister and brother-in-law Audrey and Tex Misco. Per Ma’s wishes there will a private gathering and service for the immediate family. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established in Nancy’s name. The family would like to thank everyone at The Bellin Cancer Team~ without those wonderful people- we (Mom and all of us) could not have made it through this past year. They treated mom like she was their own “Mom” and she truly enjoyed going to see all the girls and Jim. Also, a warm note of appreciation to the staff of Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for all of the loving concern and attention shown to Ma- We will never forget the awesome care you gave her- THANK-YOU!
