Marjorie “Margie” L. Vincent, 54, Green Bay, lost her 6 year battle with Cancer on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Margie was born on October 25, 1959 in Green Bay, the daughter of John and Lucy Ann (Simon) DeWan. She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School with the class of 1978. Margie was employed as a Document Controller at BSA for many years. On May 13th 1995 she married Gerald “Gary” Vincent in their backyard surrounded by blooming lilacs. Together Margie and Gary lived life to its fullest, from giving of their time on charity motorcycle rides and loved to just ride wherever the road took them~ they loved each others company. Margie had a passion for horses from little on and never missed an opportunity to trail ride or cantor in an open field with the wind at her back and the sun on her face. As a young girl she was athletically gifted and was an accomplished speed skater and musically talented as a flutist. Margie loved her family and cherished the many get-togethers they had. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and a dear friend to many~ she will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Margie is survived by her loving husband Gary, her mother Lucy Ann DeWan, 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law Mary DeWan; Martha (Harry) Huguet, Michelle (Scott) DeWan-Ziemer, 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law Matthew (Christine) DeWan, 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law Karen (Brian) Van Eperin, Linda Vincent, a dear and special cousin Julie A. Simon. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father John H. DeWan, her mother-in-law Katie Vincent, a special Uncle Dave DeWan and a nephew Evan DeWan. A Celebration of Margie’s life will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 9th 2014 at Wally’s Spot Supper Club 1979 Main Street. A warm note of appreciation to the staffs of Unity Hospice for all of their loving care, compassion and dignity shown to Margie. Also, a special thank-you to St. Vincent Gyn/Onc Office for the wonderful and tender care~ your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy A Memorial Fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank in care of the Marjorie L. Vincent Memorial Fund 1819 University Avenue Green Bay, WI 54302 Through all of her trials and tribulations~ Margie never complained, never gave up hope and was an inspiration to others.
