Mariana Rodriguez

Mariana Rodriguez Machado was born in Puerto Rico, on 8/3/1921 from Ricardo Rodriguez Colon and Senen Machado Mercado. She was the youngest child of 6 children Manolo, Victorio, Anacleto, Serafina, Juana and herself, Mariana. She married Engracio Figueroa Perez in 1941. In 1961 they had their 1st and only child Wilson Figueroa Rodriguez. Mariana used to do glove and handkerchief hand sewing and embroidery for a living while her husband Engracio worked either as an agricultural worker, or as a sugar cane cutter. Although, Mariana coursed only fifth grade grammar school she was an excellent poetry and prose writer. Her devotion for reading and writing led her to acquire comprehension and understanding of several subjects. In 1990, she started reading and studying the Bible with a 7th Day Adventist friend named Blanca. In 1994 she moved to MKE WI with her son, her daughter in law and her 3 granddaughters. Mariana was a devoted and excellent mother, mother in law, grandmother, friend and devoted Christian. She is survived by her son Wilson and his wife Shirley, her daughter in law Sandra and her grandchildren Frances, Cassandra, Naomi, Joseph, Kaleishka, Japhet, and Jahbriel as well as several nephews and nieces. RIP Mariana, we are sure we will see you again on that beautiful day of resurrection. Mariana's visitation will be this Friday, January 27, 2012 from 1 pm-2:15 pm, followed by a service. Both visitation and service will take place at the Seventh Day Adventist Church 1414 Shawano Avenue Green Bay,
