Joseph “Joe” Czarneski, 92, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence on the campus of Unity Hospice. Joe was born on August 10, 1929, in the town of Eaton the son of Bernard and Angeline (Krerowicz) Czarneski. He was employed at P&G Paper Mill, for over 38 years, as a Machine Operator. Joe married Rita Allen in October of 1953, she preceded him in death in 1972. In 1973 he married Mary (Ekleberry) Charneski. Joe was a hobby farmer, raising cattle and many other animals. He took great pride and was known for his giant steer “Moose” showing it off at local parades. Joe often sought out auction sales and always came home with many treasures. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing Sheepshead or Cribbage and sipping on a Coca-Cola. He loved to talk and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Joe was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Joe is survived by his family: his wife, Mary, his children: Dennis (Mary Jo) Czarneski, John Czarneski and his friend Sharon Jacobs, Dick (Donna) Czarneski, Bonnie (Jerry) Schweiner, Anne (Steve) Stemper, Amy Graetz, Tom (Tonya) Charneski, 15 grandchildren: Brian (Mary) Czarneski, Debbie Czarneski (Bill Schellhorn), Marsha (Cody) Muenster, Melissa (Matt) Bennett, Lucas (Dana) Czarneski, Jeremy (Shelly) Czarneski, Tim (Leah) Czarneski, Jenni (Nick) DeGrand, Neal (Linsey) Schweiner, Nathan Schweiner, Naomi Schweiner (Curtis Clemons), Vanessa Graetz, Sabrina Graetz, Tyler Charneski and Trevor Charneski; 15 great-grandchildren with one due in December; 2 sisters: Dorothy Kobes, and Evie Voss, 1 brother and sister-in-law Al (Connie) Czarneski. He is further survived by his in-laws: Bernard (Michele) Ekleberry, Allen Malcore, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dennis Ryan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Unity Hospice, 2366 Oak Ridge Circle De Pere, WI 54155.
