Howard Angell

August 21, 1959 - April 1, 2011

Howard John Angell, 51, of De Pere passed away at his home early Friday morning April 1, 2011 with his family by his side. Howard, the son of Paul and Clarine (Rossow) Angell, was born on August 21, 1959 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. When Howard was young his family moved to Tucson, Arizona. One day when Howard’s family dog was hit by a car, he brought it to the local Veterinary Clinic where Sally was employed. She soon became the love of his life. They were married on March 7, 1981 in Tucson and began their journey of 30 wonderful years together. He later attended The University of Arizona where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering. While attending college he worked with his father at United Van Lines Moving Company as a truck driver to help pay his way through school and support his family. Howard and Sally made their way back to the Midwest after Howard accepted a position with Foth & Van Dyke in Green Bay, Wisconsin as an Environmental Engineer. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, was an avid fan of the Arizona Wildcats and always looked forward to March Madness. Howard had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities such as sitting by the lake, going fishing with his wife Sally and taking their yearly vacations. While Howard was a fan of routine, he often took on new challenges and never lost sight of his goals. Whether it was obtaining his education, earning his Black Belt in Karate or learning how to swim and sail, he always remained focused and driven. Howard appreciated the simple things in life such as reading, enjoying daily walks, his pets, and listening to Sally play the piano and sing. Howard was a sincere, virtuous and honest man. He was a very loving husband and father and will be sadly missed as a grandfather in the life of his soon to be born grandchild. He was also a caring son, brother and a friend to many. Howard will be lovingly remembered. Howard is survived by his wife and best friend Sally, daughter and son-in-law Sarah Jean and Brent Baeten, son Nathaniel Howard Angell, all residing in the Green Bay area. He is further survived by his father Paul N. Angell, brother P. Mark Angell and his wife Joan, nephews Zachary and Joel, brother Craig A. Angell, brother Charles K. Angell and his wife Jennifer McGeorge, aunts, uncles and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Clarine D. Angell and brother Terry C. Angell. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. at Union Congregational Church located at 716 S. Madison Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Funeral Service begins at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Keuhn officiating.
