Donna M. Thomas

Donna Mae (Fargo) Thomas, 84, Green Bay, was called to her Eternal home on Saturday, Christmas Day, December 25, 2021. Donna was born on July 6, 1937 in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late Edward and Vivian (Meister) Fargo. She was faith-filled, fun and loved talking with family, friends and even strangers. Those who knew her would not be surprised to learn she passed on with a Bible on one side of her and a phone on the other. Prior to retirement, Donna was a Collections Specialist at Cellcom. Her employment history also included working as a Collector for the State of Arizona while she lived there many years ago. Her customer service skills and work ethic were exceptional and a God-given gift. She handled people having difficulties financially with grace and compassion, all while getting the debt paid or resolved. Beyond retirement, she remained a woman on the go. Just over a month ago she was still active on her treadmill and maintained good health. Bible study and her relationship with Jesus were her top priority. Recently she enjoyed attending services at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Green Bay and was happily meeting more people. More opportunities to call someone “honey” or “sweetie”. She truly shined God’s light in the world. If asked when she was the happiest, she would tell you it’s when she gave birth to her 3 children. She was very proud of being a mom, grandma and great grandma. She adored her family and prayed for all of them constantly. Donna is survived by her two sons: Dennis (Sheila) Wachowski and Thomas (Lisa) Wachowski, her late daughter Wendy’s partner Fabian Strong, her grandchildren: Derek Wachowski, Andy (Mya) Wachowski, Shaun (Ashley) Wachowski, Whitney Wachowski and Brynne Wachowski (fiancé Tim Vandenheuvel); Adam (Stephanie) Simon, Sara (PJ) Sobocinski, Tyler and Jaden Wachowski; and great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Arlo, Chloe, Crue, Kairi, Ian and Morgyn. She is further survived by many, many dear friends. Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Wendy Wachowski, her parents Edward and Vivian Fargo, brother Glenn Fargo and infant son Craig Wachowski. In accordance with Donna’s wishes private services were held for the immediate family. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc, WI next to her daughter and parents.
