April 3, 1958 - April 5, 2020
Debbie A. LeSage passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in her home due to complications from cancer, with her family by her side including her dog, Chip. Deb was born on April 3, 1958 in Green Bay to Andrew and Marion (Michaud) Kuffel. She was a 1976 graduate of Ashwaubenon High School where she met the love of her life, Steve LeSage. They married at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church on May 21, 1977. Debbie was an amazing and integral member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Starting out as just a bookkeeper, she led herself into many other stewardship areas within the church. It was difficult to see the church without Debbie and her handprint on so many different things when she became ill. She loved devoting her time and efforts to everything at the parish, as her and Steve were both long time members at Resurrection. Debbie had many interests in life, but her greatest joy was her family. She loved them with all of her heart. She always enjoyed the times they spent together. She loved spending time outdoors in her garden enjoying the fruits of her labor and the flower gardens that her and Steve had put countless hours into each year. Debbie and Steve loved to travel. It was not about where they went, but more so the journey it took them to get there. This is how Deb lived her entire life. Some people just go through life, but she truly lived life and made memories along the way. Deb had a passion for cooking. She was happiest when in the kitchen. She also enjoyed going out to dinner and experiencing new things or opportunities. Her passion for cooking was almost as strong as her love for shopping. Deb sure could shop. Her passions shined bright, just like her personality. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steve LeSage; one daughter, Chrissy (Emily) Martin; one son, Jason LeSage; three grandchildren, Joey, Khallie (Waylon Clark), and Riley; her mother, Marion Kuffel; one sister and one brother-in-law, Vicki (Mark) Roberts; two brothers and two sisters-in law, Kelly (Pam) Kuffel and Rod (Chris) Kuffel; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Todd (Cheryl) LeSage and Mark (Susan) LeSage. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father: Andrew Kuffel, Her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Donald and Norma LeSage. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held for Debbie at Resurrection Catholic Church. A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held at a later date when gathering restrictions are lifted. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the RN and CNA at Unity Hospice of Green Bay that helped with Debbie’s in-home care, Ashley and Cheryl for their gentle and compassionate care. Online condolences may be left at www.hansenfuneralservice.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Debbie’s name.
