Darlene R. Broekman, 72, Maribel, a long time Green Bay resident passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. Darlene was born on December 5, 1935 in Green Bay the daughter of the late Elmore and Loretta Degrand. She liked spending time outdoors and greatly enjoyed camping in Oconto and the scenery at Pine Lake. Darlene was an avid Packers fan and loved to discuss the games, especially the ones they won. She loved animals and cherished all 5 of her dogs. Darlene is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law Bonnie and Ronald Zeutzius Jr.; Tami Broekman; one son Gerald Broekman, Jr. all of Green Bay; 7 grandchildren Gerald Broekman III, Jenny and Jeremy Kazik, Amanda (Steve) Edges, Jeff Broekman, Jamie Broekman, Ashly Broekman, 4 great-grandchildren Sabrina and Caitlin Kazik, Austin Broekman, William Edges, a sister and brother-in-law Carol and Harry Wood, California. She is further survived by a companion and special friend Donald Cornell, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son Joseph Broekman, and a sister Bonnie Skar. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church 341 Wilson Ave. (Oneida St. North, left on Division Street). Funeral Service 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Julio A. Alvarado officiating. Burial at Fort Howard Memorial Park
