Barbara Sokolski

Barbara Jean Sokolski Barb Sokolski, 70, Allouez, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. She was born June 20, 1944 to Howard and Jeanette. She married her best friend Charles Sokolski on August 31, 1963. Barb loved spending time with all of her children, and grandchildren. Those who knew Barb will remember her for her kind and caring ways. She was a very strong person who always put everyone’s needs before her own, saw good things in all people, loved her children, grandchildren, and had a passion for flowers and animals. She was fortunate to have her husband take care of her until the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, Charles, her three children: Mitch Sokolski (Cindy Garrigan), Michelle (Jim) Murphy, Nancy Bockin; her nine grandchildren: Laura Frome, Amber Hale, Christina and Jessica Murphy, Mitch, Max, and Madalyn Sokolski, Brennan and Brett Bockin. Two great grandchildren Kember and Ava. Brothers and sisters and their spouses: Carol Harrison, Tennessee; Gary and Marileen Williquette, California; Sandra Selissen, Shiocton; (special friend, Gorman); Green Bay; William and Linda Williquette, Green Bay; Donna and Virgil Zinthefer, Little Suamico; Linda and Douglas Bitters, Nevada; Eugene and Jean Williquette, Green Bay; Bert and Chris Williquette, Oconto Falls; Patrick and Donna Williquette, Athelstane; Glen and Debi Williquette, Bancroft, Wis.; Lisa and Larry Lewis, Green Bay; her sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, Charlene Williquette, Little Suamico; Myron Crooks, Green Bay; Patricia Williquette, Pennsylvania; Marilyn Williquette, Green Bay; a sister, Elaine Hilke, Green Bay and her dog Abby. Barb was preceded in death by her Mom, Jeanette, her Dad, Howard, brothers, Richard, Robert, David, Clyde, Wayne and Alan; her sisters, Shirley Williquette, Elizabeth Waldman, Germaine Couillard and her father in law Edward Sokolski. Barb was also a foster child to the late Lee and Mary Zegers family. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Saint Matthew Catholic Church 130 S. Matthew Street. A Private Service for the immediate family to follow. The family extends their thanks to the staff at Unity Hospice for the care that they gave our mother and father during this time. You are all amazing!
