Annette K. Mahlik, 68, Green Bay, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Annette was born on September 28, 1950, in Green Bay, the daughter of the now late Milton and Rebecca (Broberg) Schlies. She was a graduate of Denmark High School. She obtained her certification as a CNA and worked in the health care field her whole life. Annette had a gift for taking great care of families by making them feel welcome and special. On July 22, 1998, she married Todd Mahlik and together they created many memories with love and laughter. Annette had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling to visit lighthouses, enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She was quick witted when she needed to be and always had a smile on her face and love in heart for those she met. Annette was a loving wife, mother, sister and a friend to many and will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Annette is survived by her loving husband; Todd, 2 daughters; Rebecca Barnard and her close friend Clifford Charles, Jenny (John) Van Straten, 1 grandson Tristen Van Straten, 1 brother and sister-in-law Jim (Gail) Schlies. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and the many friends she made working for so many years. In accordance with Annette’s wishes a private gathering will be held for the immediate family. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staff of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for all of the loving care and attention shown to Annette~ your kindness will never be forgotten.
