Alan “AL” Lancelle, 52 Green Bay passed away on Wednesday May 30 2007 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family. Alan was born on October 22 1954, in Green Bay the son of the late Leonard and Margaret ( Conrad ) Lancelle. He attended St. Philip the Apostle Grade School and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School with the class of 1973. Al received a Football Scholarship based on his athletic abilities to attend Northern Michigan University, He served his country in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist until his honorable discharge in 1978. Al was an outdoor enthusiast and liked to spend time “up north” at his brothers cottage in Silver Lake, deer-hunting .fishing and enjoying the scenery. He was an avid Packer fan and was always up to date with the help of E.S.P.N. His all-time favorite sporting event to watch, was the games he attended on the sidelines cheering for his two wonderful Children, Brooke and Ben. He loved his family and cherished the times spent with them. Alan is survived by a daughter Brooke Lancelle and her special friend Cory, Green Bay; a grandson Dylan; three sisters and four brothers-in-law Judy ( Larry ) Steeno, Green Bay; Donna ( Larry ) Kornowski, Suamico Janice ( David ) Walton, Green Bay; one brother and two sister-in-law Robert (Ellen) Lancelle, Little Suamico ; Barbara Lancelle, Green Bay and a special nephew Chris Lancelle He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Ebli and one brother Richard. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday June 4 2007 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:P.M. at Saint Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 312 Victoria St. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 7:P.M. with the Rev. Walter Stumpf officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Alan’s name. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation and sincere gratitude to the staffs of the :Special Care Unit” at Parkview Nursing Home for all of the tender care and concern shown to Alan
