Mrs. Virginia G. Krouth

Virginia “Ginny” Geraldine Krouth, 91, a lifelong Green Bay resident passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. Virginia was born on December 3, 1923 in the town of Morrison to the now late John and Ellen (Fitzgerald) Lee and grew up on their family farm. On September 27, 1958 she married Leslie J. Krouth and the couple enjoyed almost 34 years together. Leslie preceded her in death on February 24, 1992. Virginia had so many interests in life but her faith and her family were the most. Going to church and praying the rosary was an intricate part of her strong faith and she always volunteered her time. Virginia cherished her family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren and her siblings. She had a generous spirit and was always giving to others and never wanted anything in return. Virginia loved baking molasses and sugar cookies but never kept them for herself, she would let her family enjoy them, donate them to the church and the nursing homes she volunteered at. She carried on the family “tradition” of playing cards with from sheephead, cribbage to canasta and even Kings in the Corner. Virginia is survived by her children Mary (Jeff) Hermans, Julie (Kevin) Kane, Steve (Cheryl) Krouth, Kathy (Russ) Fulwiler, 7 grandchildren Stephanie, Andrew, Caleb, Jacob, Caitlin, Ashely (James), Alyssa. She is further survived by 1 sister Agnes Thomson, 1 brother-in-law Jerry Tease, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and her special dog Ally. She was preceded in death by an infant son Paul, 3 sisters Margaret lee, Dorothy Tease, and Katherine Lee, 1 brother Francis Lee. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 312 Victoria Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Larry Canaverra officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staffs of Bellin Hospital for all of their care, concern and compassion shown to Virginia. Also, a special thank you to Sister Helen Keyzer for all of her friendship and love~ your kindness will never be forgotten.
