Thomas Schoultz

Thomas A. Schoultz, 81, Allouez, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Tom was born on November 18, 1929 in Marshfield, WI the son of Antone and Edith (Altenburg) Schoultz. He attended Marquette University and graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in Business Administration. After successful completion of the R.O.T.C program, Tom served with the 4th Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas until his honorable discharge. On August 13, 1955 he married the former Doris Vande Hei at Old St. Joseph Catholic Church and they enjoyed 56 years together. Tom spent most of his career at Georgia Pacific Paper Company where he worked until his retirement in 2000. He was a very faith filled man and was a Charter Member of Resurrection Parish where he gave freely of his time. Tom was a long time member of the Allouez Kiwanis and volunteered to aid and assist several charitable organizations. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Doris, his children Julie (Tom) Schmitt, Sara (Pat) Johnston and their children Eric, Emily and Kristen; Peter Schoultz and his son Cory; Paul (Sue) Schoultz and their children Laura and Leah; a sister Barbara Pelton, two brothers and sisters-in-law Richard (Vonnie) Schoultz, John (Monica) Schoultz, two sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law Jean (Grant) Bourgeois, Jerry (Pat) Vande Hei. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, one sister and two brothers-in-law Mary (Carl) Masanz, Ralph Pelton. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Dive, Allouez. Funeral Service 11:00 A.M. at the church with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating and Rev. Paul Demuth con-celebrating. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established in his name. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staffs of Unity Hospice especially Carrie, Molly and Heather for all of the care and compassion shown to Tom.
