Patricia Marion Gille

Patricia M. (Kernan) Gille, age 94 a Green Bay resident passed away Saturday evening, April 13th 2024 at Reflections. She was born August 11, 1929 to the late Leo and Dorothy (Plont) Kernan. She attended St. Francis Xavier Cathedral grade school and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy with the class of 1947. Patricia was employed at St. Vincent Hospital as a health unit clerk in OB-GYN for eight and a half years, then in pediatrics and pediatrics ICMU for nine years before retiring in 1994. Patricia was active in church and school activities at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish during the years her children were growing up. She was also a den mother for three years. Patricia was President of the ladies altar society in 1966-1967 and with the help of her co-chairman Coletta Kersten and staff of volunteers, was proud of their accomplishment of publishing the first edition of the Ss. Peter and Paul cookbook in 1967. Patricia is survived by her five children, Michael (Janis) Gille; Linda (Dennis) Belongea; Mark (Kathy) Gille; Rick (Brenda) Gille; John (Patty) Gille; and son in law Steve Van Eyck, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Patricia was also preceded in death by one daughter Kathy Van Eyck, infant son; Robert, her grandparents who raised her, Michael James and Clementine Kernan, brothers; Ken, Marvin, James, Allen and infant son Donald Kernan; father of her children, Richard Gille; mother and father-in-law Clarence and Emily Gille and great grandson; Blake Steven Schneider. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM on Friday April 19th at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (139 S. Madison St. Green Bay). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday April 19th at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral 139 S. Madison St. Green Bay. Officiating at the mass of Christian burial will be Very Reverend Brian Belongia. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Our family wishes to thank our brother Mark Gille who had so graciously taken care of our mother’s every need. The Family would also like to extend a special thank you to Reflections at Moraine Ridge, and Compassus Hospice for their care and compassion shown towards Patricia and her family.
