Mrs. Laurie Ann Shaha

Laurie A. Shaha, 32, De Pere died tragically as a result of an automobile accident on Monday, July 11, 2016. Laurie was born on March 6, 1984 in Green Bay the daughter of Don Shaha and Linda Brittnacher. She was a graduate of East De Pere High School with the class of 2002. Laurie cherished her family and always enjoyed spending time with them and was a good organizer of getting everything together. She especially loved the campfires at her Uncles place surrounded by her family talking, laughing and just being silly. Laurie was one of the most outgoing persons that you could find and was never afraid to meet new people~ she truly enjoyed getting to know you. As a child she enjoyed spending time by her father’s pond with her siblings Val and Ben swimming, playing on a raft and simply enjoying the scenery and beauty of nature. Laurie by nature was a giver, she would give of her time, talents and her heart to those in need. She was a loving daughter, sister and a special friend to so many~ she will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Laurie is survived by her mother Linda Brittnacher, her father Don Shaha, 1 brother Ben Shaha, 1 sister Val Shaha (Eric Vanderwalker), her beloved pet cats Dixie, Roscoe and Cooter. Since Laurie comes from such a large family it would be to difficult to name all of her loving and special Aunts, Uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends~ so please know that she loved each and everyone of you and was joyful to have you in her life. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Prince of Peace Parish 3425 Willow Road. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. In Lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund in Laurie’s name is being established. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the first responders who valiantly tried to save her- your kindness and efforts will never be forgotten. In life, Laurie gave selflessly of herself and even with this tragedy through her organ donations she is still giving to people and making a difference. We will always love you Pork!
