Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" M. Roffers

Jacqueline “Jackie” Roffers, 85, Green Bay, died on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Unity Hospice following a brief illness. Jackie was born on December 17, 1935, in Green Bay the daughter of the now late Emil and Selma (Kaminski) VanDenBusch. Jackie had a business degree and was employed at Burrough’s in the Business Office before her marriage on August 31, 1957 to David S. Roffers. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her 5 children: Therese (Joseph) Hansen; Karen (Robert) Grzywa; Steven Roffers (partner, Ivan DaSilva); Don Roffers (Deceased); and Gene Roffers (spouse, Robert Colella). She was employed later as a CNA at Americana Nursing Home for several years before her employment on the Orthopedic floor at Bellin Hospital from 1973-1999. Jackie was always volunteering and taught her children to serve others by volunteering. She took great pride in her services as a playground monitor at her children’s grade school; was a member of the core group at St. Philip’s Women’s Altar Society and was in charge of the decorations for all events; was treasurer Chapter 403 NARFe, and active member of NALC. After her retirement from work , Jackie volunteered at Bellin Hospital from February 24, 2005 to November 15, 2019, giving a total of 1825 hours “working” in Bellin’s Gift Shop and Learning Resource Center. Jackie greatly enjoyed traveling and making trips to visit her children and grandchildren, being present for all parties and special events, going to movies and plays, reading books. She worked at many bake sales and rummage sales. Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 64 years, David Roffers, Green Bay; her four children: Therese (Joseph) Hansen, Crivitz, WI; Karen (Robert) Grzywa, Schertz,TX; Steven Roffers (Ivan Da Silva), Cathedral City, CA; and Gene Roffers (Robert Colella), Norwalk, CT; 6 grandchildren: Nicole (Jordon) Knier; Rachel (Dan) Bloch; Danielle (Kenneth) Arbour; Brian Grzywa; Sara Grzywa; Alyssa (David) Troyanoski; 7 great-grandchildren: Bradi, Easton and Riggs Bloch: Cameron, Brooke Lynn, and Ella Louise Troyanoski; Riley Jo Arbour; and 2 greats-to-be-born May 2022. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 son: Don J. Roffers, brother Damian VanDenBusch; sister-in-law: Muriel VanDenBusch; sister: Patricia Pranke; brother-in-law: Joseph Pranke; brother-in-law: Lee Roffers. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. On Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria Street with Father William Hoffman officiating. Interment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
