Harold J. Jacobs

Harold Joseph Jacobs, 85, De Pere passed away on Saturday June 28, 2025 surrounded by family. Harold was born on December 27, 1939 in Hilbert, WI to the now late Hubert and Eleanore (Leitner) Jacobs. He was a graduate of Hilbert High School with the class of 1958. Harold served his country in the United States Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962. Harold was employed by Schneider Transport for 30 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 75 and Local 554 Omaha, Neb. He was a member of AMVETS Post 11, and the De Pere Men’s Club. He and Kathleen spent the last 21 winters at Sun Valley Park in Apache Junction, Arizona where he was very active and involved from being the kitchen manager, to the buyer of all supplies for the recreation activities and was on the Board of Directors. For the past 10 years he worked for Monroe Truck in De Pere. Harold is survived by his significant partner of 37 years: Kathleen Pagel, his three daughters: Jayne Frank, Oshkosh; Jodi (Tim) Ledvina, Luxemburg; Jill (Dave) Christianson, Appleton, his three special boys: Thome Pagel, Larry (Jacqui) Pagel and their children: Kayla, Krystyna, Larysa, Daniel Pagel, seven grandchildren: Randy Schuh, Julie (Bobby) Zepnick, Alex (Kimberly) Frank, Joel and Ella Ledvina, Cash and Conway Christianson, one great-grandson: Easton Schuh, his brothers and sisters: Alfred Jacobs, John (Sandy) Jacobs, Gloria Schunk, Eunice Heller (Dave Wood), Don (Lori) Jacobs, Diane (Bob) Willems, Darlene Zahringer, Karen (Jeff) Goeser, Gerry (Barb) Jacobs, Ellen (Vic) Brault. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, one brother: Richard Jacobs. one sister-in-law: Shirley Jacobs, two brothers-in-law: Ron Schunk, Harvey Zahringer, a great-nephew: Kilian Brault Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere. A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. James Baraniak O.Praem officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Paul’s Pantry, The Golden House or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of the Jack and Engrid Meng residence especially Sharon and Ann for all of their loving care and compassion- your kindness will never be forgotten.
