Mrs. Dorothy Jean Clusen

Dorothy Jean (Lange) Johnson-Clusen, 93, Green Bay, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday June 18, 2023. Dorothy was born on March 3, 2023 in Green Bay, the daughter of the now late Raymond and Lisetta (Pahnke) Lange. She loved caring for her children, sewing, cooking, gardening and crafting. Dorothy attended Fontenoy School, a one room school house. She was an avid church goer and at the age of 16, she was an organist at Henrysville Lutheran Church as she took lessons from the Pastors wife and also played in Denmark at Christ Lutheran Church. After graduating from Denmark High School in 1948, she moved to Milwaukee, where she was employed at Hummel & Downing in the Accounting Department. After a year, she returned to Green Bay working in accounting at the Green Bay Box Corporation. On February 3, 1951 she married Norris Johnson and together they had 4 loving children: Mark (Sandy) Johnson, Jean (Doug) Hoffman, Paul (Judy) Johnson and Lisa (David) Horn. They also had 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dorothy and Norris moved to Arkansas after retirement. For 13 years she worked at Walmart. Norris passed away on August 6, 2006 after 54 years of marriage. On February 14, 2009, Dorothy then married Donald Clusen. They enjoyed traveling and time spent together before his passing in 2017. She was an avid Packer, Brewer and Bucks fan and enjoyed watching them on T.V. Dorothy is survived by her children: Mark (Sandy) Johnson, Jean (Doug) Hoffman, Paul (Judy) Johnson, a son-in-law: David Horn, 8 grandchildren: Lance (Cassie) Johnson, Gena (Chad) Heminover, Leah Baugnet, Sarah Baugnet, Alyssa (Andrew) Wickman, Ben Johnson (Taylor Poore), Lisetta and Claire Horn, 6 grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Lisa Horn, a brother and sister-in-law: Alden (Ruth) Lange, 2 brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Glen (Marie) Johnson, Howard Johnson. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Messiah EV Lutheran Church, 3186 Eaton Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 P.M. with Pastor Aaron Schultz. Burial at East Danish Cemetery. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Promedica Hospice and Eden Vista Assisted Living. Also, a warm note of appreciation to Dr. Bradley Wozney for all of his care and compassion~ your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established in her name to benefit: The American Cancer Society, The Alzheimer’s Association and Messiah EV Lutheran Church.
