Mrs. Darlene Jean Leanna

Darlene Jean Leanna, 77, Green Bay died unexpectedly on Friday, September 2, 2016 at home. Darlene was born on September 18, 1938 in Green Bay, the daughter of the now late Bernard and Rosella (Verbust) King. She attended Green Bay West High School. On June 1, 1985 she married Alfred “Al” Leanna at a celebration in their back yard. Darlene was employed in the Housekeeping Department at the former Brown County Mental Health Center for over 20 years. She loved to crochet and knit for her family and friends. Darlene greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the many get togethers. She liked to bake, play cards and was always up for a good book. Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a friend to many and she will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Darlene is survived by her loving husband Al, her 3 children Brenda (Keith) Mroczynski, Greenleaf; George (Melanie) Corbeille, Green Bay, Bernard M. Corbeille, Green Bay; 1 step son Jerry (Ruth) Leanna, Mokena, Ill; 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law Gene (Sandy) King, Larry (Carol) King, Pat King, 1 brother-in-law Michael B. Corbeille. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 step son Jeffrey ‘Moose” Leanna, 1 sister Marilyn Corbeille, 1 brother Kenneth King, 3 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law Lyle Luedeman, Edward (Arletta) Leanna, Curtis (Bernice) Leanna. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Saint Matthew Catholic 130 St. Matthew Street. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to: Unity Hospice 2366 Oak Ridge Circle De Pere, WI 54115. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the First Responders, the Brown County Sheriffs Department and the EMT’s for all of the efforts and support. Also, a warm note of appreciation to Dr. Raymond Bachhuber, Dr. Erich Quidzinski and the ER staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center for all of their care and compassion.
