Daniel Karcz

Daniel “Dan” Louis Karcz, 75, of Green Bay, beloved husband and best friend for 38 years of Cheri (Wells) Karcz, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2014 surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved. Dan was born on July 29, 1938, in Green Bay the son of the now late Alex and Aurelia (Blajeski) Karcz. He was a graduate of Premontre High School and U.W. Oshkosh. Dan was a strong believer in education and never stopped learning even after he obtained his Masters Degree. He was a true educator by nature teaching in the elementary, high school and even college level. Dan was passionate about helping people learn and always took the time to make sure his students understood the curriculum that he was teaching. On August 20, 1976 he married the former Cheri Wells and the couple enjoyed living life to its fullest, enjoying their family and helping others in need along the way. Dan’s motto in life was to “Remember to enjoy today, because there is only one.” Dan is survived by his wife of over 37 years Cheri, one daughter and son-in-law Kim and Jeff Rhodes, two grandchildren, Logyn and Kyler, one brother Dale Karcz. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister Darlene Vandertie. In honor and respect of Dan’s wishes private services were held for the immediate family. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to Dr. Alshaharouri and Dr. Soto for all of their loving care, compassion and dignity in taking care of our Husband and Father. Also, a special thank you to the staffs of St. Vincents 6th Floor ICU for their kindness and understanding. While thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say. I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time, you think of me I know you’ll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an Angel came and called my name And took me by the hand.
