Mr. Daniel "Dan" N. Chervenka

Daniel “ Dan” N. Chervenka, 91, Green Bay formerly a longtime resident of Denmark passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 in his sleep. Dan was born on September 15, 1924 in Montpelier the son of the now late Joseph and Dorothy (Paider) Chervenka Sr. He met the love of his life Dolores at a dance at Nejedlo’s and the couple was married on October 3, 1953 at St. Joseph’s in Pilsen. Dan was a very loving husband and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather~ who will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. He grew up on the family farm and farming was his second love behind his family. Dan cherished his family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them, from the many family gatherings to the various sporting events and was so ever proud that his grandchildren and son-in-law hunted on his land and very often shot trophy whitetail. He loved the outdoors and greatly enjoyed the times spent fishing or planting his garden. Dan loved Dolores’ cooking as she always made each and every meal a special time for her family. Dan is survived by his loving wife Dolores, his children Sharon (Donald) Denor, Karl (Debra) Chervenka, Debra (Jeff) Umentum, 6 grandchildren Corey (Shannon) Denor, Brian, Alyssa and Carrie Denor and her special friend Spencer, Carissa (Chad) Aumueller, Taylor Umentum, 2 great-grandchildren Jacob and Keira Denor, 1 brother Jerome Chervenka and his special friend Mary Watermolen, 2 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law Madeline Chervenka, Allen (Jane) Kadletz, Germaine (Luke) Linzmeier, Joyce Beaudoin. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law Joseph, Alvin (Loretta), George, Delores, 1 sister Mary and an infant sister. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church N2085 County Road AB, Stangelville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staff at Bishops Court for all of their kind and loving ways in taking care of our loved one. Also, a special thank-you to Unity Hospice for their care and compassion~ your kindness will never be forgotten.
