Charles H. Beilfuss

God needed a personal escort and limo driver to travel His heavenly highway, so he called on Charlie August 6, 2009. Charles H. Beilfuss went to join his parents Charles and Trudy, his brothers Jackie and Tom, and his much loved grandpa Charles. Charlie was born in Wauwatosa on January 23, 1939. He earned the rank of sergeant in the Marine Corps (57-59), played tenor saxophone in the band, and was presented with a meritorious award for saving a little girl’s life. He was a member of the Hollywood Marines. Charlie owned and operated SAX Ornamental Iron, Superior Pet Supplies, Poor Man’s Zoo, J&K Distributors and Snow Removal, and most recently Charlie’s Luckee Limo Service in Appleton. His son Kelly will now operate the business. Charlie is survived by his two sons Kelly and Jamie (Janine); grandsons Eric and Evan; his former wife and lifelong friend Kathy; sister Carol; brothers Ronnie (Nancy), Robert, Bill, and Kenny. Charlie will be dearly missed by his significant other, Liz Gietman, whom he spent the last 14 years. Charlie, like his grandpa Charles, touched many people with his kindness and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. He loved being with his family, friends, and clients; playing the saxophone; riding motorcycles; watching trains and airplanes; listening to music; and helping sister-in-law Patti and Randy owners of HOME RUN PIZZA. He was a proud father and grandpa. Some of his favorite sayings were “God Bless”, “Thank you, Thank You, Thank You”, and “I’m ready for a dirt nap!”. Charlie’s letters and emails were always in CAPS and had LOTs of exclamation points and pictures!!!! You left us too soon dad. You had a real gift-a blessing-for making people feel good when they were around you. Your thoughtfulness, kind spirit, and appreciation for the simple things in life serve as an example to others. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, Chaplain Mark, and Levi at Theda Clark for caring for Charlie and truly appreciate the support Steve, Willy, Deacon Jerry, and the other Hollywood Marines provided during this difficult time. SEMPER FI!! There will be a memorial service Saturday August 22 at Christ the Rock church in Menasha, WI at 11:00 a.m.. A memorial is being established.
