Anna Klarkowski

Anna J. Bruyntjens, Forstner, Klarkowski Anna J. Bruyntjens, Forstner, Klarkowski, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2010 with her family at her side. Anna was born January 25, 1916 to Julius and Emilie (Wagner) Bruyntjens in St. Nichols, MI. Anna graduated from Rock High School in Rock MI; she then attended and graduated from Badger Business College in Green Bay, WI and the University Extension Green Bay. Anna married her true love, Leo J. Forstner on June 15, 1938. They raised two daughters while living in Green Bay. She was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and also worked at the school as their librarian for many years. Anna also worked at Nigbor Furs. Anna enjoyed working in her garden, knitting, crocheting, reading, playing cards and most of all visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna is proud of her Belgian heritage and continued to keep in touch with family in Belgium up until her last days. Anna married Bernard Klarkowski in 1968. Anna is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Dolores (Tom) Lambert, Green Bay; and Mary Jane (Gary) De Groot, DePere. Grandchildren, Laura (Kevin) Rukamp, Green Bay, Michelle (Chad) Smith, Luxemburg, James Lambert, Green Bay, and Benjamin (Caroline) De Groot, Wausau. Great-grandchildren, Lucas and Connor Rukamp, and Christopher Lambert-VanderWielen-Smith. Sisters-in law, Muriel Bruyntjens, Beatrice Dimmer, and Francis Petri. Numerous loving nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend Phil Lippens from MI and Mary Arbur from Green Bay, WI Anna was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Emilie, husbands Leo J. Forstner in 1963 and Bernard Klarkowski in 1999; one daughter, Emilie at birth; two brothers, Peter (Jane) Bruyntjens, and Morris Bruyntjens, Gladstone, MI. Two sisters, Irene (Pat) Van Eyck, Rothschild, WI and Martha (John) Peloza, Gladstone, MI. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 A..M to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Prince of Peace Church, 3425 Willow Rd, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at the Odd Fellows Nursing Home for the wonderful loving care they have given Anna for the last five years. Also, a warm note of appreciation to Rev. Ron Belitz and Prince of Peace Catholic Church for their care and compassion at this time.
